Best way to work with troublesome young co-workers?

I wouldn't say anything to my boss about this. If you are planning on sticking around after the summer ends, start working on the boss to put you in a supervisory role for next summer. Implement an interview/selection process, create expectations and requirements, and maybe a quality work review process (although I'm not convinced that work reviews are productive) for seasonal workers. This would help to identify the seasonal help you would like to have return the following year. It sounds like you are an ideal employee, with outstanding goals. Keep up the good work and you will be rewarded. Whiners are never well liked.
